Role Summary/Purpose:

The focus of this role will be on improving wing-to-wing process management, risk and control understanding, and documentation for corporate websites and the multi-channel marketplace. The primary purpose is to led daily operations that help strengthen overall channel governance to enhance our risk culture and drive sustainable growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen channel governance through adherence of critical to compliance protocol and process integrity
  • Develop, manage and drive a compliance roadmap for corporate websites and marketplace in alignment with Synchrony’s enterprise risk process and controls
  • Own the risk assessment process including but not limited to, incident/issues lead, non-model tools management, process documentation and regular audit/scans
  • Own, monitor and manage the enterprise border crossing language strategy
  • Actions may involve creating new controls, updating job aids, providing training, and closing exiting issues or incidents
  • Ensure that business processes are developed, executed and maintained according to Policies, Standards and procedures
  • Support technology and process rollouts related to reducing risk or improving process controls like Preform Line, legal traceability and project intake forms
  • Be compliance subject matter expert on behalf of emerging channels team
  • Work with multiple internal teams, like IT, MarTech, CX and Compliance, to reduce risk within corporate website and marketplace channel delivery
  • Participate in the Agile Program Increment (PI) planning to define features, provide detailed requirements, plan releases and quality assurance testing
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school equivalent and 10 years of Product Management or Marketing Governance experience with in the credit card industry.
  • 6 + years of experience within Product Management and Compliance to include:
    • 2 + years of project management experience working with digital process management and a demonstrated success
    • Experience working with technical teams and/or guiding the creation and implementation of digital processes, documentation and control management
    • Organized, resourceful and results-driven; tenacity to get stuff done
    • Experience working with senior leadership and/or clients

Desired Characteristics:

  • Masters degree in Business, Finance, IT or related field
  • Familiarity with consumer lending products and practices
  • Sharp focus on accuracy with extreme attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Regulatory requirements
  • Creative, self-motivated problem solver with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information
  • Can self-manage and work autonomously with a remote, dispersed team
  • Certified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) enterprise leadership professional
  • Track record of creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a cross-functional and virtual environment

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
