Why is this role important?

The Advertising Integration team builds, implements and supports advertising and sponsorship experiences on our audience-facing products. We bridge committee and corporate goals and play our part to maintain a user-first experience while always looking for ways to drive new revenue.

Our Vision: Empower CBC products to make advertising integration easy and seamless

In this role you will:

  • Provide support for other product teams and departments including implementation of advertising technology on CBC.ca and other digital products
  • Continually improve and optimize CBC’s current suite of digital advertising solutions for web including display and video integration which includes some third party integrations
  • With a user first approach, look at ways of continually improving advertising functionality with a focus on key performance indicators such as ad viewability and cumulative layout shift.
  • The CBC currently operates under a mixed revenue model which includes both government funding and advertising; our work helps our internal stakeholders meet budget and revenue goals
  • Collaborate on Quality Engineering processes and ad testing workflows

How you will make an impact:

  • You will contribute to the Macaw CBC suite of digital ad solutions to improve ad speed and overall quality.
  • You will collaborate to implement ad solutions supporting Media Solutions and our sponsorship teams’ revenue goals including support for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic games.

What you bring to our team:

  • Expertise in JavaScript and Typescript
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks like Cypress is nice to have
  • Experience with Google Ad Manager or equivalent is nice to have
  • Experience with implementing Digital Ads is very nice to have
  • Experience with collaboration and communication while working in an Agile framework is nice to have

This role offers the possibility of full-time telework or Hybrid.
