We are seeking a passionate and organized CSR Program Specialist to help shape and elevate our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives across India and the broader APJ region. This role will be instrumental in strengthening our global impact by managing regional CSR governance, building meaningful NGO partnerships, inspiring employee engagement through volunteerism, and supporting CSR reporting and branding efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
CSR Governance & Compliance
- Manage the India CSR Committee, including scheduling, documentation, and governance processes.
- Partner with the Legal team to ensure compliance with India CSR regulations, including timely and accurate regulatory reporting.
- Maintain India CSR Committee membership records, recruit new members, and facilitate onboarding.
- Maintain updated process documentation for the CSR team.
Volunteer Engagement & Event Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute frequent volunteer events across India and APJ in partnership with CSR Committee members and Employee Resource Groups.
- Drive employee engagement through creative and impactful volunteering opportunities, partnering with regional HR business partners for opportunities to align with and/or collaborate on other local employee engagement plans.
- Track participation and impact metrics for internal reporting and storytelling.
NGO Partnerships
- Identify, establish, and nurture partnerships with local NGOs aligned with Progress’ global CSR strategy.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Progress and NGO partners in the region.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of NGO collaborations.
Scholarship Program Management
- Oversee the India STEM scholarship program, including application processes, selection, disbursement, and impact tracking.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure program success.
CSR Platform Support
- Maintain and update CSR data on the Percent Pledge platform, including event details, participation, and impact metrics for activities in the India and APJ regions.
- Support regional enablement and adoption of the platform.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and liaise with the vendor as needed.
Reporting & Communications
- Contribute to the development of the annual CSR report by providing regional content, success stories, and data.
- Support internal and external communications related to CSR initiatives and achievements in partnership with US CSR Program Specialist.
- Maintain and update CSR content on Progress’ intranet.
- Identify and pursue local CSR branding and award opportunities in collaboration with the
- Marketing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of experience in CSR, nonprofit management, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of India CSR regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in event planning and volunteer engagement.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across global teams and cultures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across regions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CSR platforms (e.g., Percent Pledge, Benevity, or similar).
- Passion for social impact and community engagement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in CSR in a multinational or cross-cultural company.
- Familiarity with India and APJ regional CSR trends and practices.
- Knowledge of impact measurement and reporting frameworks.
- Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI tools to drive innovation in CSR.
