Schedule: Monday - Friday; 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Location: Rogers Park

Trilogy has received funding from the State of Illinois to develop and implement a mobile crisis response program due to the recognition that mental health crises are not currently addressed in the most effective, safe, and trauma-informed way. Trilogy will be providing mobile crisis outreach services to community members in Rogers Park, Edgewater, Andersonville, Skokie, Evanston, and Uptown areas.

The Team Leader will serve as the senior clinician on the Alternative Crisis Response team; and have overall responsibility for the direct supervision of employees on their team and oversee the coordination and quality of services provided by the team. The Team Leader will be central to the development and implementation of this new program to provide improved response to mental health crises. The Team Leader will develop a cohesive team by hiring and training dynamic clinicians, providing coaching and mentoring to team members. The Team Leader will routinely interface with other leaders in the organization to enhance communication, cooperation/collaboration across programs/departments, and to improve the quality and comprehensiveness of services provided. The Team Leader will provide and ensure the team provides person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed services to clients with severe mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse/addiction utilizing a harm reduction approach.

The Team Leader will interface with referral sources to maintain professional relationships and ensure timely and seamless execution of crisis response. The Team Leader will be considered a “player-coach” leadership position, meaning that the incumbent will provide direct services as needed in addition to maintaining supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete weekly supervision with employees to provide feedback and follow-up on employee duties and responsibilities
  • Run regularly scheduled team meetings and convey information/changes that are coming from management to the team.
  • Conduct mobile crisis response on an as needed basis when coverage is necessary for direct service employees
  • Coordinate schedules to ensure appropriate coverage of shifts
  • Model a person-centered, recovery-oriented approach to services that includes the use of evidenced based practices, i.e. trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction techniques.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees and ongoing training of employees to provide quality services to clients.
  • Monitor employees’ direct service hours and ensure the team meet direct service targets
  • Monitor client charts and employee’s time management to ensure all documentation is completed timely (i.e. IM+CANS, notes, etc.)]
  • Assess team’s morale and create a supportive environment for employees
  • Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) required
  • Minimum two years’ experience working with people with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses
  • Mobile crisis, SASS, or ER crisis worker experience preferred
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license with daily access to a well-maintained vehicle with $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance
  • Supervisory or leadership experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work evenings
