Job Title: Material Handler 2nd Shift
Salary: $19.50/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift 3:15 pm to 11:15 pm
We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and production operations. This role involves transporting materials, preparing shipments, operating machinery, and ensuring raw materials and finished goods are handled efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport Gaylord pallet boxes and mix plastic materials to ensure consistent raw material supply at all production workstations.
- Move finished goods efficiently to designated warehouse storage areas and shipping staging zones in a timely manner.
- Accurately wrap, label, and prepare pallets (skids) for shipment following shipping and packaging guidelines.
- Track and record raw material lot numbers for each workstation to maintain traceability and inventory control.
- Proactively organize and move Gaylords, scrap, skids, plastic bags, cardboard, and other materials to keep production areas clean and well-stocked.
- Operate a grinder to process scrap and sprues, ensuring plastic material quality by preventing contamination.
- Regularly operate and maintain banders, mixers, grinders, shredders, and dryers as part of daily production support.
- Notify the Production Manager of material shortages, material quality issues, or low supply levels to prevent workflow disruptions.
- Complete and document daily forklift safety inspections, reporting any mechanical concerns promptly.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with 5S and safety standards.
- Serve as a backup packer when needed to support production flow.
