This position is based in Bengaluru and will require some on-site work.

Purpose and Scope:

As the Principal Chapter Lead for Microsoft & Sharepoint Application Development, you will provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, and talent development across multiple chapters within a specialized area of digital expertise. You will lead multiple Chapter Leads and their teams, ensuring alignment with the organization's enterprise platform strategy while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence. Our agile operating model is structured into two key components:

  • Digital Execution – Aligns multiple missions with business goals, facilitates large-scale collaboration, and ensures seamless product development.
  • Digital Capability – Focuses on the growth and development of individuals within specific technical disciplines, ensuring the continuous enhancement of expertise and leadership.

As the Principal Chapter Lead, you will be responsible for developing enterprise-wide capabilities, standardizing best practices, and mentoring Chapter Leads to drive efficiency, resilience, and agility in our digital platforms.

Your primary focus, as the specialized group lead, will be to enhance our digital capabilities, contributing to strategic goals, and nurturing the team of talented professionals.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1.Strategic Leadership & Platform Vision:

  • Define and evolve technical standards for SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Teams integration,

and Microsoft 365 dev. Drive modernization & provide architecture guidance on building scalable and secure SharePoint solutions.

  • Evaluate new features and releases in the Microsoft ecosystem and recommend adoption.
  1. People Leadership & Capability Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multiple Chapter Leads and Chapter Members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Define career development pathways, technical learning agendas, and knowledge-sharing

mechanisms to enhance individual expertise and leadership capabilities.

  • Build a strong talent pipeline by attracting, retaining, and upskilling top digital talent.
  1. Collaboration & Cross-functional Influence:
  • Act as the bridge between execution-focused tribes and capability-building chapters, ensuring a balance between product delivery and technical skill growth.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product leaders and engineering teams to drive digital transformation and innovation. Advocate for a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement, leveraging Agile and Lean principles.
  • Align chapter strategy with Enterprise Architecture and Digital Workplace vision. Engage with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and compliance teams on technical integrations.
  • Drive strategic initiatives like digital document workflows, intranet redesign, or citizen development enablement.
  1. Operational Excellence & Technical Governance:
  • Establish and enforce best practices, architectural standards, and governance framework for enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and future-proof to support business growth and digital transformation.
  • Drive key enterprise-wide initiatives related to cloud adoption, DevOps, automation, and AI-driven operations.

Qualifications Required:

  • Advanced degree in relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years demonstrated relevant experience
  • Expertise in Agile Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and best practices. Experience in implementing and leading Agile transformations within Platform Integration teams. Professional certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist) are highly desirable.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing Agile teams. Strong coaching and facilitation abilities.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that leverage Agile methodologies to meet business objectives and drive technology innovation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale integration solutions using Azure Devops, Sharepoint Development Framework, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Microsoft Enterprise Search, Copilot studio, Microsoft Viva Platform
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as Automation Anywhere, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
