Purpose of Role: As a Field Services Engineer, you’ll be the face of our technology in the field, championing customer success and ensuring our solutions deliver real impact. This hands-on role involves installing, commissioning, and supporting our cutting-edge Weir Motion Metrics products at mining sites across the globe. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned accounts, delivering expert support throughout installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of Motion Metrics systems.
- Lead on-site activities at mine sites, including hands-on system work, team coordination, and client training on hardware, software, and digital platforms.
- Analyse system performance remotely and on-site, conduct root cause investigations, and drive continuous improvements in reliability and service delivery.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, detailed reporting, and adherence to technical standards and documentation best practices.
- Monitor system performance daily, generate internal and client-facing reports, communicate updates and issues across teams and with customers, and manage hardware/software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in line with service and R&D guidance.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, holds an engineering degree (preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics) and ideally has experience in customer support within industrial environments.
- Strong technical proficiency across networking, Windows & Linux OS, Office Suite, communication systems, databases, server tools, and cloud services.
- Demonstrates professionalism, time management, and resilience under pressure, capable of interpreting technical documents and regulatory materials.
- Willing and able to travel frequently, including internationally and to remote mining sites; holds a valid passport and unrestricted driver’s licence
