Acting as the Client Services Relationship on the Corporate Trust Team in Luxembourg, managing a portfolio of global clients ensuring that they receive optimal service levels and that relationships remain strong and effective at all times.

The products in scope will be Project Finance, Securitizations, Loan Agency, and Escrow Services ( including fiduciary, accounts and deposits). The role will also entail Sales activities to penetrate the Luxembourgish market with these products and attend industry conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Deutsche Bank’s business strategies are followed and implemented, including the retention of existing business and working with Sales team in pursuit of new business and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Review draft documentation for new and existing transactions where Corporate Trust is appointed to act.
  • Negotiate terms of documentation from Deutsche Bank’s perspective with the transaction parties (corporates, sovereign or bank issuers, borrowers, banks, other parties and their lawyers etc).
  • Arrange for the signing of and, where applicable, the closing of new transactions.
  • Deal with clients requests for amendments to terms and conditions of existing transactions, waivers, and restructurings, liaising with the Transaction Management Group & external counsel and instructing back office to ensure timely update of internal records post amendment.
  • Develop a sales strategy in Luxembourg, attending industry conferences and preparing pitch books in co-operation with the EMEA Sales Team.

Skills

  • Experience in a similar role or in a Corporate Trust, capital markets, or investment banking background with good operational experience, with exposure to agency and trust services.
  • Legal Background or documentation review experience would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, client focused, the ability to assert themselves and be able to deal with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • An ability to handle a variety of tasks at a time and a flexible approach. The credibility and confidence to liaise effectively at senior levels.
  • English is mandatory and preferably possess some language skills, in particular German. French or Luxembourgish language would be an advantage but not mandatory.

The successful candidate will be asked to present a recent criminal record.
