Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Mechanical Systems and Components organization in the Actuation Group. You will be integral in creating design solutions for actuation systems across the aerospace industry from flight control actuation on aircraft, missiles and launch vehicles. You will be involved in every aspect of the system life cycle; from the initial design concepts through product end of life..

• System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
• Actuation system integration and component development
• Mechanical Systems design and component controller integration
• Electro-Mechanical System and Component Modeling and Analysis
• Control architecture and design
• Physics based model development and system design
• Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
• Mechanical Systems validation & verification
• Customer technical interface
• Effective delegation of work to team members

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• 3+ years experience circuit design and motor control
• Systems simulation (proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and Excel or other performance modeling software)

WE VALUE

• Masters degree in system design and controls or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of the systems and component development lifecycles
• Experience with Agile work flow planning
• Experience with systems requirement flow down
• Experience developing RCCA plans and execution, with demonstrated results
• Experience developing motor driven actuation systems
• Experience with implementing control architecture in electronic controller applications
• Experience with Real Time hardware in the loop controller development
• Control theory basics (block diagram representations of nonlinear and linearized systems, frequency response, gain and phase margins, time constants and interactions, etc.
• Thermodynamics experience
• Fluid dynamics experience
• Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
• Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
• Effective communicator
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
• Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
