Material Handler - 1st Shift

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals in Red Wing, MN is excited to partner with a local manufacturer in Cannon Falls, MN who is hiring a Material Handler! In this role, you will be operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials across departments.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
• Evaluation-to-hire

Pay

• $20.10-$26.60/hour
• Weekly paychecks every Friday

Location and Work Environment

• Cannon Falls, MN

Responsibilities and Duties

• Load and unload trucks
• Inspect received materials
• Operate forklifts and other material handling devices
• Move incoming purchase parts and material between departments
• Place materials into appropriate bins, shelves, and storage locations and ensure materials are stored in a neat and orderly manner
• Remove scrap from work locations and transport to recycling area
• Light preventative maintenance on company transporting equipment
• Support maintenance staff with special projects
• Notify Maintenance Lead of major mechanical repairs

Skills and Qualifications

• 2 + years of forklift experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Drug screen required
• Background check required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
