Summary

The Manager III, Loan Operations is primarily responsible for department operations and functions to meet Service Level Agreements between the Loan Operations department and other BOKF lines of business. This position requires an excellent understanding of consumer, commercial and complex commercial loan documentation, applicable regulations and perfection of collateral interest to protect rights of repayment.

Job Description

The Manager III, Loan Operations is primarily responsible for all aspects of management of the assigned department operations. This position requires an excellent understanding of consumer, commercial and complex commercial loan documentation, applicable regulations and perfection of collateral interest to protect rights of repayment. The Manager must ensure training and processes are defined so that systems under their control maintain the required quality and data integrity. Manager mitigates risk through adherence to applicable regulatory, investor, internal/ external policies and procedures and strong vendor management review. The Manager oversees department operations and functions to meet Service Level Agreements between the Loan Operations department and other BOKF lines of business; daily reviewing and approving multi-million dollar credit transactions. The Manager works with all consumer and commercial Lines of Business, Credit Administration, Finance, Business Analysts and various internal departments, responds to audits and works with internal and external auditors as necessary. The Manager should have strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work with a diverse set of employees, business partners and co-workers; must be able to concisely relay information, handle escalated items and resolve time sensitive issues. Manager may be called upon to work as project team member or project lead in various system upgrades or departmental projects.

• You will oversee quality controls, identifying process improvement opportunities when needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Financial Accounting and/or a Law Degree with 7+ years loans operations experience with at least 4 -5 years experience in a management capacity or equivalent experience or 12+ years in operations which includes at least 4-5 years in a management capacity.

• Preference: Master’s Degree or Law Degree
• Extensive knowledge of consumer and complex commercial credit legal documentation with interpretive skills and regulatory/compliance background in loan operations.
• Extensive knowledge of HMDA, TILA, RESPA, FCRA, SCRA, UDAAP and other applicable associated regulations
• Broad knowledge of production management, loan operations and delivery systems
• Extensive knowledge and interpretative skills of legal documentation, lending laws, regulations and investor requirements
• Excellent understanding of vendor risk and associated vendor management controls
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and general ledge
• Excellent PC and software skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
• Excellent research and problem solving skills including reconciliation and budget analysis
• Excellent leadership ability, employee motivation and team building skills
• Ability to manage multi-functions, multi-shifts and/or multi-locations
• Ability to prioritize and organize workflow and implement process improvement
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
