The Corporate Talent Management team of Stanley Black & Decker provides global support and strategic direction to our three main business units: Global Tools & Storage, Stanley Security Solutions and Industrial. In this position you will provide leadership on our global Talent Management team and provide support to our Human Resources community members in a wide variety of hiring initiatives, program management and client relationship management focused on producing the positive growth of the Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program (SLP). This position also will serve as a member of the Stanley Black & Decker Training & Development community, assisting in deploying internal training programs globally.

Our Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related field;
  • 5+ years Human Resources experience;
  • Knowledge of a wide-range of HR programs, processes and tools in all areas including recruitment, compensation & benefits, talent management, leadership development, competency development, performance management, communications and progressive HR project work;
  • Strong HR generalist skills;
  • Talent management or learning & development experience strongly preferred;
  • Global Human Resources experience strongly preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent and proven communicator – both verbally and written;
  • Excellent client service skills and the capacity to understand multiple business units/functions;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail;
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
  • Strong team orientation;
  • Ability to continuously spot problem areas, and act to improve systems and processes as appropriate;
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong work ethic, and willingness to work in a fast-paced, demanding and energetic environment;
  • Ability to think/reason analytically;
  • Willing to travel, including global travel, approximately 25%

More About the Position
Reporting to the Director of Talent Development, the Talent Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the overall growth strategy for the Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program. This includes full talent lifecycle activities such as providing strategic direction in campus recruitment activities, selection events, delivering training and development programs globally and succession planning. Utilizing a shared services approach, this will include designing, developing, and delivering high quality processes, tools, and systems that will assist in the overall recruiting, training and deployment needs of the organization for early in career high potential talent.
