As our Engineering Manager, you'll be at the helm of the Amsterdam-based Web Editors team, a group dedicated to building and scaling the frontend of our intuitive, high-performance web editor platform. Your vision will directly impact our business, contributing to millions in annual revenue and driving significant year-over-year growth.

You'll be a key player in our Personalize Web Team, at the heart of our user experience and innovation, propelling us to set the gold standard for web editors. Beyond your immediate team, you'll collaborate on domain and organizational initiatives, amplifying your impact across Engineering and contributing to Storio's exciting growth trajectory.

Your Daily Adventure at Storio

  • Empowering your team: Leading a cross-functional mission-led team of 8 engineers, coaching individuals to grow their careers, increase mastery, and fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment. You'll be instrumental in talent acquisition and ensuring team well-being.
  • Driving impactful delivery: Collaborating closely with Product Managers to scope projects, define milestones, and ensure alignment with our OKRs. You'll be accountable for your team's delivery performance, optimizing processes, and continuously improving key metrics like business value, cost efficiency, speed, and quality.
  • Championing technical excellence: Providing valuable input on design decisions, cultivating best engineering practices within the software development lifecycle, and balancing technical health with delivery speed. You'll also create exciting opportunities for technical exploration and innovation.
  • Leading with influence: Collaborating with fellow engineering managers and technical leaders across the organization, contributing to in-domain standardization efforts, and managing your team's resources and budget to demonstrate the value they create.

What You Bring to the Party

  • A solid track record of 3-5 years as an Engineering Manager, preferably leading high-performance eCommerce engineering teams.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer, providing you with a strong delivery and technical background.
  • Proven expertise in JIRA and project management methodologies (especially OKR-based tracking).
  • Experience in navigating a complex enterprise-wide customer landscape with competing priorities.
  • A history of building platforms through agile delivery methods in close partnership with product managers and senior engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at simplifying complex topics and fostering transparent, actionable discussions.
  • An outstanding attitude that motivates team members and cultivates a fun, joyous work environment.

Extra Kudos for Experience

  • A degree in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics).
  • Knowledge of the eCommerce domain.
