Position Summary:
The Product Owner defines, delivers, and manages the lifecycle of products in a product portfolio. Leads the product team(s) developing the product(s). This position may be involved in the funding management and budgeting processes for the products and / or portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Defines and manages product roadmap
- Build, groom and prioritize the product backlog, continuously managing expectations with relevant stakeholders – including the senior leadership team
- Manage the sprint planning process and participate in all relevant ceremonies (reviews of prior sprints, grooming, retrospectives, etc.)
- Develop a deep contextual understanding of our customer, worker and user needs
- Gather market feedback through user interactions, focus groups, and by performing industry research to support future development
- Write detailed functional specifications, user stories and product documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, designers and analysts to implement and deliver new products and features
- Collaborate with the organization on vision, strategy, decisioning, tactical execution, and measurement systems
- Communicate roadmap stages and timelines internally with key stakeholders
Required/Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or Other Related Degree
- In addition to required degree, four (4) or more years related work experience
- In lieu of Bachelor’s degree(s) AND four (4) or more years related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND eight (8) or more years related work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Verifiable experience as a liaison between customers and technical delivery teams
- Experience completing complex technical projects.
- Expertise in guiding, mentoring, and directing software delivery teams.
- Experience prioritizing roadmaps, giving consideration to technical capabilities and constraints
- Facilitating communication among the customer, development team, and product management team
- Previous experience in a data analytics role and/or project management of a data product
- Certification in AWS cloud technology

Working Conditions:
- Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to the designated Duke Energy facility.
