Job Description

As the Lead Revenue Cycle Applications Support Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing our corporate-wide clinical/revenue cycle systems, working directly under EITS leadership. Your responsibilities will span the entire system lifecycle, from initial assessment and design to development and implementation. A significant aspect of this position involves transforming complex data into actionable business requirements and creating comprehensive documentation for system development. You'll be adept at analyzing information, identifying true business needs beyond user requests, and partnering with diverse stakeholders—including business users, project managers, programmers, and IT leadership—to ensure project success, manage risks, and maximize benefits. As a Level 3 analyst, you'll also be a mentor and trainer for less experienced analysts, tackle advanced issues and optimizations, lead key meetings, and step in for the Assistant Director as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance business requirements and processes, facilitate build within the system to meet operational needs
  • Complete daily tasks, and assign daily tasks to analysts. Lead and facilitate meetings
  • Lead team projects and report outcomes to upper management. Report out on issues and statuses accordingly
  • Lead departmental strategies and projects that align with H+H Vision and Goals
  • Monitor ticket assignments, and assist in facilitation of complex ticket and demand solutions
  • Facilitate team adherence to all timelines related to projects, demands and departmental goals
  • Analyze and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technical specifications
  • Create statistical reporting based on end user needs within the Epic Cadence module.
  • Ability to complete demonstrations, and give effective presentations
  • Develop status reports for submission to leadership;
  • Provide technical and analytic expertise for the development of the Revenue Cycle System
  • Responsible for the daily monitoring and issue resolution of any system related issues reported by end users; will require daily usage of the ESD Service Now application;
  • Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business needs; create business, functional and technical requirements documents based on captured data and in accordance with departmental protocol/standards.
  • Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues and other non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure that all quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards.
  • Document changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process.
  • Document software test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guidelines and other materials.
  • Coordinate, and support unit acceptance testing and subsequent deployments in coordination with other team leaders.
  • Perform end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of application function defects
  • Participate and lead in special projects as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and propose change and communicate strategies.
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Epic certification/proficiency must be maintained and up to date including CEE's and NVT trainings to retain employment
  • This role is approximately 80% remote and up to 20% on-site. The selected candidate must be able to come into the office to perform required work within 48 hours. This may be subject to change

Minimum Qualifications

1. A Masters Degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externally developed software in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area; or, one year of experience in a relevant clinical and/or healthcare administration role/function; or

2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as described above; or

3. A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.

4. Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one year.

Department Preferences

Certification(S)/NYS Licenses/Education:

  • Epic Certification in Cadence is required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements:

  • Healthcare Experience (Clinical, Technical or Administrative) required.
  • At least 2 full life cycle implementation, other implementation of systems, major system upgrade, or application required

Years of Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience with EPIC Cadence certification required
  • 3+ years’ experience with EPIC Cadence certification preferred
