Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Professional Relations and Partnership Director to join our Abiomed team located in the United States.

This is a field-based role available in the US. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application.

Purpose: The Professional Relations and Partnership Director (PRPD) plays a crucial role in supporting the physician program director team in building Heart Recovery Programs and improving patient pathways for the Abiomed product portfolio. The PRPD will serve as a liaison among various internal stakeholders to facilitate alignment and ensure the successful execution of strategic engagements and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • PRPD will support and collaborate with Abiomed internal partners including marketing, clinical affairs, medical affairs, regulatory, R&D, and other corporate functions in company-wide professional partnership activities.
  • At the request of Global Strategic Marketing, R&D, Professional Education or Clinical teams, provides supporting information related to US customers and potential partners.
  • Acts as liaison between field, Medical Office and PPD team to coordinate key customer and geographic visits from the Medical Office.
  • Support the creation, maintenance, and utilization of resources to provide insights to internal partners with quarterly reports and communication to internal leaders.
  • Lead the development of a digital platform that supports tracking & planning of Abiomed Leadership Engagements with KOLs; including scheduling, meeting notes collection, follow up items, planning and future strategies.
  • Clinically upskill Physician Program Director team and provides updates on current clinical trials, publications, and additional content to improve clinical outcomes for patients.
  • Maintain expertise and knowledge in relation to Company products and procedures, as well as current literature, key clinical papers, and trends in the industry.
  • Evaluate the needs of the Physician Program Director (PPD) team to identify areas for support and development.
  • Work cross-functionally to create tools that support the work of the heart team, focusing on:
  • Analyzing efficacy.
  • Implementing best practices.
  • Providing metrics to assess program outcomes.
  • Ensure strategic engagements are well-planned and executed, meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry (MedTech, Medical Devices, or Pharmaceutical) with experience in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Heart Failure.
  • Knowledge of the cardiovascular medical device marketplace and healthcare environment, ideally with deep expertise in cardiovascular clinical therapies and/or end-user experience with Impella products
  • Experience working with high profile KOLs and/or experience in publication and clinical trial analysis is highly preferred.
  • Leadership qualities to guide and inspire internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess program outcomes effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring programs to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Proficiency in leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with goals.

  • Expertise in conducting market analyses and consumer research to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Expertise in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Strong skills in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with business needs.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 60% domestic travel will be required with some weekends with conferences and key engagements.
