Director, Business Operations

Job Summary: The Director, Business Operations provides overall business operations, partnership, platform/product integration, business development and account management leadership to help drive initiatives critical to the ongoing growth and margin improvement of the Provider BU platform tools through growing and maintaining partners, increasing transaction growth, defining, analyzing, and monitoring key operational metrics, including revenues, profitability, budget management, and cost reduction.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with peers and senior leadership to define key strategic, operational, and organizational improvements.
  • Participate in regular leadership meetings to deep dive into key strategic and operational questions to make operational decisions and contribute to the optimization of the business.
  • Execute cross-functional initiatives to align with the stated strategic plan.
  • Collaborate on market and portfolio strategy with fact-based strategic business insight.
  • Collaborate across the Provider Business Unit and other BU’s as needed.
  • Provide one consistent internal view of the Platform business (e.g., key operating and financial metrics, product roadmap suggestions, etc.).
  • Provide business analytic strength to help business understanding and visibility to support and drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth.
  • Identify, maintain, and present insightful periodic summaries of key financial and operational metrics as part of the Provider Leadership team to drive timely decision-making.
  • Use data-driven analysis to structure problems and define clear program execution.
  • Identify and recruit internal/external talents to ensure an effective mix of competencies.
  • Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPIs to inspire individuals to achieve high performance.
  • Allocate workload to fully utilize every employee’s talent.
  • Implement development plans and coach individuals to reach their maximum potential.
  • Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address poor/mediocre performance in a timely manner.
  • Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent.
  • Regularly communicate company news and team progress against business plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical/business experience.
  • MBA Preferred.
  • 10-15 years' experience leading business operations functions and teams across the healthcare tech space.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience developing a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Record of achieving revenue and client service goals within budget.
  • Successful at leveraging technology and people to optimize efficiencies and service delivery.
  • Ability to work productively with clients and the general public.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 15% travel for internal meetings and/or client engagements
