Job description
The HR Senior Manager, South America (SAM) will be responsible for management of the end-to-end delivery of HR operational activities to approximately 400 employees across 7 SAM countries, working closely with local HR Business Partners, Administrative Office Managers (AOM’s), Finance and other in-country resources, responsible for the provision of day-to-day support to employees and/or HR activities. The HR Senior Manager, SAM will also be responsible for the line management of the HR Operations/Payroll/Benefits, HR Administrator, SAM and Contracts Administrator, SAM located in Brazil.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities of the HR Senior Manager, SAM, are comprehensive and cover various aspects of HR operations.
- Human Resources Generalist: Managing the entire employee life cycle, overseeing operations communications, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, and managing the hiring and termination processes across SAM. The role also involves acting as a subject matter expert for maternity, paternity, and adoption queries, supporting the Director of Human Resources, SAM, in employee relations and union agreement implementations, overseeing pre-employment screening, payroll, employee taxes, and communication administration for bonuses, promotions, and salary reviews, managing HR-related invoices, and acting as a point of escalation for complex queries and benefits and compensation implementation.
- Payroll & Benefits: As the subject matter expert for complex employee benefit queries, you will be overseeing the timely completion of the 'Payroll Tracker', supporting the SAM Payroll Team with HR-related queries, managing SAM employee benefits vendors, supporting the Director of Human Resources, SAM, with employee benefit plan participation and renewals, and ensuring new starters are added to, and leavers are removed from, the relevant company benefit schemes.
- Reporting & Audit: You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining business reports, supporting the preparation and delivery of ad-hoc report requests, including internal and external audit reports and data requests.
- HRIS and Compliance: In this role you will be acting as an HCM Initiator for SAM, supporting the HRIS function with new hires and processing leavers, ensuring employee personal information is up to date, supporting system development activities, and managing HR Operations projects with international stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Partnering: You will be partnering with other internal teams on cross-functional activities across an employee’s life cycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure process compliance and continuous improvement.
These responsibilities highlight the multifaceted nature of the role, requiring a blend of operational management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years’ experience in a HR Operations based role at advisor or above level in Brazil plus desired experience with other South American countries management.
- Minimum of advanced English required, and proficient Spanish will be a differentiator.
- Experience of managing a small team / prior individual line management experience
