THE OPPORTUNITY

We believe creativity is deeply human—and building tools that empower it demands the same from us. The Firefly Design Site team is seeking a Senior Product Designer, Commerce and Growth, to help craft data-informed, intuitive experiences that drive engagement, adoption, and retention. Join us!

This role is ideal for a designer who thrives at the intersection of UX, visual design, business strategy, and product performance. You understand how to craft journeys that are not only beautiful and cohesive but also optimized for impact. You’ll bring deep empathy for users alongside a growth mindset—combining insight, business savvy, and curiosity to shape entry points that convert, educate, and encourage.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments and who operates with humility, purpose, and a clear eye on business outcomes. You know how to balance qualitative insights with quantitative signals and advocate for both user needs and product metrics with confidence and compassion.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design connected, data-informed user experiences that drive discovery, activation, and long-term engagement in the Firefly product.
  • Use research, experimentation, and product analytics to identify friction points and unlock opportunities for growth.
  • Uphold the highest standards of craft across UX architecture and UI design—ensuring every interaction feels intuitive, purposeful, and inviting.
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and marketers to align on goals and carry out growth-focused experiments.
  • Lead the design of commerce and conversion flows, as well as feature discovery, creating experiences that benefit users and get results.
  • Confidently present your thinking to executives and cross-functional partners—anchored in both empathy and evidence.
  • Develop sketches, flows, prototypes, and polished UI—adapting your process to match the needs of experimentation and iteration.
  • Contribute to our design system, voice, and visual language, helping ensure consistency even as we test and evolve.
  • Bring steadiness and clarity through shifting priorities—modeling adaptability and calm in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-haves:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional UX and visual design across adaptable, multi-surface experiences, especially in conversion or growth flows.
  • An understanding of business strategy and monetization journeys, experiences with designing monetization strategy from value discovery, to trigger points to paywall design.
  • Experience designing for user acquisition, commerce, onboarding, or product-led growth—balancing craft with data, performance, and iteration.
  • Strong understanding of metrics, funnels, and experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, cohort analysis, etc.).
  • Empathy for customers and collaborators alike—your process is both people-centered and performance-aware.
  • A proven ability to lead design within complex, data-driven organizations—building strong cross-functional relationships and managing ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe CC, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to align partners, influence decision-making, and clearly articulate tradeoffs.
  • Dedication to accessible and inclusive design practices that scale.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience crafting for creativity tools, GenAI, or content ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with SEO/SEM, CRM tools, marketing sites, or product-led growth techniques.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, experiment-heavy environments with a culture of testing and iteration.

HOW TO APPLY

Please submit your resume and portfolio. We’d especially love to see:

  • Examples of design work that led to a measurable impact on growth or engagement
  • How you’ve partnered with data science or marketing to shape experiments
  • Where you’ve delivered high-craft UI in conversion, onboarding, or discovery surfaces
  • How you lead with empathy, partnership, and purpose through ambiguity
