As the Senior Manager of Product for the Whisker App, you will own the end-to-end digital roadmap with the support of an existing team. You will lead the team in building a cohesive vision and strategy for the mobile app, encompassing both the evolution of the existing app, as well as the development of mobile features connected to new devices. Our deep connection to our pet parents makes our data one of our superpowers. You will lead the team to define and bring to life the future of data insights, pet insights, mobile subscription services, and customer-facing AI features.

What You’ll Do:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defines and drives the product vision and roadmap for the Whisker App, aligning strategic goals with user needs and technical potential
  • Reimagines the views and engagement for our customers to see their pet’s data and build a stronger connection to their furry friend and to Whisker
  • Manages and mentors a team of product managers, ensuring clear goals, ongoing skill development, and career progression
  • Aligns the roadmap with cross-functional partners including software engineering, hardware, UX/UI, marketing, and customer care
  • Defines and owns key product KPIs (e.g., feature adoption, stickiness, onboard rate, etc.) and uses them to make data-driven prioritization decisions
  • Fosters a culture of innovation and experimentation while balancing data and intuition in every-day decision-making
  • Ensures consistent and reliable application launches through a structured release cadence, incorporating regular feature updates and improvements
  • Leverages metric-driven insights to inform prioritization, validate performance and continuously enhance user experience
  • Drives experimentation frameworks such as A/B testing and feature flagging to validate hypotheses at scale, optimize user flows, and refine product-market fit through iterative testing and fast feedback loops
  • Champions the integration of advanced technologies, such as predictive analytics, and personalization algorithms to deliver a seamless and intelligent cross platform experience for pet parents
  • Will perform additional responsibilities when required

Leadership Responsibilities:

Directly supervises department Teams. Carries out supervisory responsibilities following Whisker policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, and hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing team issues, and upholding safety and quality guidelines.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing or a related field
  • Must be a cat owner
  • 5+ years of consumer-facing mobile app product management experience with an international user-base, having successfully led product strategy and significantly grown user engagement across all app features
  • 3+ years experience of people leadership
  • Proven track record in driving significant key outcomes in a consumer-facing mobile app over several years
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic planning skills with experience translating complex data insights into actionable product strategies
  • Strong leadership abilities in cross-functional team settings, effectively communicating with engineers, designers, data scientists and senior leaders
  • Genuine passion for pets and enthusiasm for leveraging technology to enhance the lives of pets and their parents
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
  • A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)

Not Required but Nice to Have!

  • Experience with IoT or connected device applications
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum Methodologies
  • Knowledge of best practices in UX/UI design for mobile apps
