Transportation Operations Management (TOM) is seeking a talented Senior Program Manager. You will manage capacity and risk planning for the TOM organization, supporting 250+ Fulfillment Centers. You will work with network planning teams to forecast demand, build and use models to understand our ever-changing capacity, and define solutions that support the end-to-end supply chain. The outputs for these models will identify risk and influence how we plan our network. This role marries operational knowledge, strategic planning and exceptional statistical and analytical thinking. In this role, you will communicate and collaborate with front-line senior leaders in Operations, Finance, Planning, Engineering, and Real Estate. You will be part of a high-visibility program that helps to define the future of transportation through each level of the Amazon Fulfillment supply chain.

Key job responsibilities

  • Determine and gain alignment with TOM and site ops leadership on yard specific capacity.
  • Identify buildings at risk based on yard constraints and determine short term and long term solutions to solve
  • Lead strategic planning and forecasting for your defined business
  • Collaborate with customer and partner groups to identify and leverage data to make programmatic changes
  • Develop and automate models as needed
  • Manage and deliver results on complex projects across multiple organizations
  • Work with program managers, business leaders and executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and govern Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
  • Gather and analyze data to drive business decisions
  • Innovate to improve processes and continuously remove cost from operations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
