Type: Contract

Job Title: Technical Product Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC / Hickory, NC / Corning, NY Locations Preferred. Remote - Office attendance as required.

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: M-F 8am–5pm

Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics)

The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end-to-end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT-enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost-efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

We are seeking an exceptional professional with strong leadership skills to join our team as a Technical Product Manager - Commercial Data & Analytics Product Owner. You will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into meaningful intelligence that drives marketing, e-commerce, sales, service, and pricing strategies. You will also focus on metrics to improve employee experience on the Intranet.

Requirements

  • Lead the commercial data & analytics strategy aligned with business goals
  • Define, prioritize, and execute the product backlog
  • Serve as the technical lead on Customer Data Platform integration
  • Facilitate seamless data interoperability across platforms including Salesforce, SAP Commerce Cloud, and Databricks
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio and Tableau Cloud
  • Partner with teams to evolve data models and unify customer touchpoints for a Customer 360 view
  • Guide insights delivery and adoption across marketing, sales, service, and pricing functions
  • Monitor and maintain platform health, troubleshoot data pipeline issues
  • Collect, clean, and validate datasets from Google Analytics, BigQuery, Databricks, and more
  • Present findings clearly and effectively to business stakeholders
  • Drive delivery through Managed Service Providers and agile delivery teams
  • Contribute to technical product roadmap development and governance
  • Embed with product teams to ensure transparency and delivery quality

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or Data Analytics

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a developer, engineer, or similar technical role
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • Experience with enterprise data lakes (preferably Databricks)
  • Solid understanding of statistical principles and predictive analytics
  • Experience with Google BigQuery, SQL, and Looker Studio
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective in translating technical and business concepts across teams
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with marketing, e-commerce, sales, and employee engagement processes
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and resilience in the face of ambiguity

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Experience in manufacturing industry or related domains
  • Knowledge of data governance and quality practices

Travel Requirement

  • Up to 15%, as needed based on project phase, supplier, or team meetings
