Position Description:

Drives and measures team performance according to data metrics and system design requirements using technical project management tools -- Jira and Jira Align. Defines the scope of the working software and acceptance criteria for each iterative product delivery (Agile sprint cycle) for the team and aligns it to the program level release. Deploys cloud-based data and SaaS solutions in collaboration with application and data teams. Defines, reviews, and tracks squad objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Builds data solutions to facilitate software experiences that are available, stable, and performant.
  • Understands the myriad processes related to customer data, association, grouping, data protection, and segregation to allow for broader thinking on system design and utilization.
  • Writes team mission, product vision, backlog, and development strategies based on the collected business and technical requirements.
  • Owns the product vision and backlog from idea to shippable product delivery.
  • Confers with systems analysts and other software engineers/developers to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Develops and oversees software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.
  • Designs, develops and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Develops and directs software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.
  • Analyzes and assesses customer insights and data to inform decisions.
  • Defines and communicates acceptance criteria.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) performing product development (through Agile or Waterfall SDLC approaches) within a business-to-business sales or services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) performing product development (through Agile or Waterfall SDLC approaches) within a business-to-business sales or services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) building CRM solutions focused on sales or service processes using Salesforce or an enterprise CRM software to enable business growth and scalability of Sales and Service teams.
  • DE researching, documenting, and reviewing existing systems, and recommending designs for achieving requirements for self-contained projects within a larger program using tools -- JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Microsoft PowerPoint, or Visio.
  • DE collaborating with business partners across the enterprise to understand business needs, establish strategic direction, innovate on solutions, and ultimately deliver technology solutions that achieve desired business outcomes using Agile or Waterfall software development methodologies.
  • DE breaking down sophisticated product features and requirements into clear and concise actionable work items for development teams, with well-defined business values, non-functional requirements, data visualization, UI mockups and validation strategies using tools -- ServiceNow, JIRA, Power BI, Visio, or Microsoft PowerPoint.
