Job Summary

The Associate SAP QM Functional Consultant will be an integral part of our SAP team, supporting the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of the SAP Quality Management module. This role is ideal for an individual with a foundational understanding of SAP QM processes and a strong desire to learn and grow within the SAP ecosystem. The successful candidate will assist senior consultants and work closely with business users to ensure the effective utilization of SAP QM functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support & Maintenance:
  • Provide basic support for SAP QM module issues, collaborating with senior consultants for complex problems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day QM process-related incidents.
  • Support routine system health checks and data integrity activities.
• Configuration & Customization (Under Guidance):
  • Assist in basic configuration activities within the SAP QM module (e.g., master data setup like Material Master QM views, Inspection Characteristics, Inspection Methods, MICs, Sampling Procedures).
  • Support the creation and maintenance of QM master data.
  • Document configuration settings and business processes.
• Testing:
  • Execute basic test cases for SAP QM functionalities (e.g., goods receipt inspection, in-process inspection, quality notifications).
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
• Documentation:
  • Assist in creating and updating functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals for QM processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of system changes and support activities.
• Training & User Support:
  • Provide basic guidance and support to end-users on SAP QM functionalities.
  • Assist in developing training materials for new functionalities or process changes.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into basic SAP solutions.
  • Collaborate with other SAP functional teams (e.g., MM, PP, SD) to ensure seamless integration.
  • Participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Learning & Development:
  • Actively learn and develop expertise in SAP QM module functionalities, best practices, and new technologies.
  • Stay updated with SAP releases and industry trends related to quality management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• SAP Knowledge: Foundational understanding of the SAP QM module and its core processes (e.g., Inspection Planning, Inspection Lot Creation, Results Recording, Usage Decision, Quality Notifications).
• Functional Knowledge: Basic understanding of quality management principles and practices.
• Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA environment.
  • Basic understanding of SAP master data concepts.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Good documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Certification in SAP QM or related modules.
• Internship or project experience with SAP QM.
• Exposure to other integrated SAP modules like MM (Materials Management) or PP (Production Planning).
• Basic understanding of ABAP debugging concepts.
