KSL.com is looking for a talented student intern reporter for the fall of 2025. Sports interns are part-time reporters who will pitch and write daily Utah sports stories, projects and features as part of our positive, hard-working team. Sports interns will learn the workflow of publishing to KSL.com, which averages 2.5 million news page views a day. We are committed to providing our readers with the latest, most accurate sports news so they can be well-informed.

The five-month internship is a part-time paid position and can fulfill requirements for school credit. We are aiming to start this internship on 8/4/2025. Interns must have a vehicle and be able to attend sporting events in the Wasatch Front.

We love working with self-starting sports junkies who pay attention to detail and have great communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for sports
• A competitive drive to be first in the market and to seek out accurate, confirmed information quickly
• The ability to write stories quickly and accurately on a variety of sports topics
• Knowledge of local sports public figures and events
• A commitment to upholding the brand standards of KSL.com and Deseret Digital Media
• The ability to find and write feature stories that highlight the best and brightest people and sporting events in Utah

Qualifications:

• Must have completed news writing or reporting classes
• Have clippings of published sports stories
• A working knowledge of AP style
• Interviewing skills
