Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAP SD & Finance Business Systems Analyst to join our IT Applications team. This hybrid role requires strong business process knowledge and systems expertise in Sales & Distribution (SD) and Finance (FI/CO) to support Order to Cash (O2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P) business processes. You will work closely with cross-functional business and IT teams to understand requirements, design scalable solutions, provide ongoing support, and ensure seamless integration across our SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud and a diverse application ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a functional expert for SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Finance (FI/CO) modules, particularly in the context of Order to Cash and Procure to Pay processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Customer Support to understand requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of sustainable and scalable solutions using SAP S/4HANA and integrated applications, including Zendesk, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Model-N, Vistex, Zuora RevPro, E2Open, and others.
  • Document business process flows, functional specifications, and configuration documents.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system issues; provide production support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and change management.
  • Configure SAP modules and partner with developers on customizations, including RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, training, cutover planning, and post-go-live support.
  • Promote IT best practices and ensure solutions align with compliance (e.g., SOX) and governance standards.
  • Provide guidance to business teams on SAP capabilities and best usage of system features to optimize performance and user experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on functional expertise in SAP SD and FI/CO modules, preferably in SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud).
  • Sound understanding of core business processes, especially Order to Cash (pricing, invoicing, delivery, credit management) and Procure to Pay (vendor payments, GL/AP integration).
  • Strong business acumen and ability to act as a bridge between business users and technical teams.
  • Proven experience in business process definition, solution design, documentation, and training.
  • Working knowledge of integration with third-party systems such as Salesforce, Vistex, Model-N, E2Open, Zuora RevPro, or other cloud-based SaaS applications.
  • Experience in creating functional specifications and working with ABAP and technical teams on custom developments.
  • Proficient with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or SAP analytics tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades.
  • Familiarity with Revenue Recognition (e.g., Zuora RevPro or SAP RAR) and Consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream, Adaptive Insights).
  • Experience working in a multi-system ecosystem, integrating SAP with multiple third-party platforms.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks like SOX, GDPR, and IT governance practices.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in a business systems analyst or functional consultant role supporting SAP SD and/or FI/CO.
  • Experience with at least 1 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or upgrade is highly desirable.
  • Certification in SAP SD or FI/CO is a plus.
