Customer Service Operations & Projects Analyst

Huntsman is seeking a Customer Service Operations & Projects Analyst supporting the Advanced Materials Customer Service Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Customer Service Manager.

This dynamic role sits at the intersection of data strategy, process optimization, and customer support operations, perfect for someone who thrives on translating data into actionable insights and delivering projects that truly move the needle.

In summary, as the Customer Service Operations & Projects Analyst, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Integration & Order Testing

• Act as a testing lead for order entry systems, simulating the Customer Service Analyst (CSA) experience to validate workflows and processes.
• Understand and replicate CSA functions to ensure system integrity and user-ready performance.

Performance Analytics & Reporting

• Track and evaluate critical performance metrics that reflect CSA success and overall operational efficiency.
• Leverage order entry and pricing data to enhance automation and ensure precision in reporting outputs.
• Build and sustain dynamic dashboards and analytical reports using Power BI, Excel, and other tools to drive visibility and insight.
• Examine operational datasets to identify emerging trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and actionable opportunities for process enhancement

Customer Master Data Governance

• Champion clean and accurate customer master data through proactive audits and reporting.
• Develop strategies and tools to ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with operational needs.
• Recognize how vital master data is to seamless order processing, billing accuracy, and overall customer satisfaction

Operational Excellence and IT Support

• Collaborate on global projects by offering data-driven insights and coordination support.
• Lead or engage in continuous improvement initiatives using lean/Six Sigma principles.
• Manage and track IT tickets, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
• Drive the automation of manual processes with tools like Power Automate or appropriate scripting.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering or a related field; or equivalent experience in Technical Customer Service.
• At least 5 years of experience in order management, customer service, and/or pricing operations.
• Proficiency in English at a minimum B2+ level (written and spoken).

Skills and knowledge

• Proven experience in data analytics, reporting, and dashboard creation
• Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.), and relevant automation tools
• Familiarity with IT service management tools and workflows (ticketing systems, etc.)
• Experience working in a global or cross-functional environment is a plus
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Sales & distribution, CRM and ERP modules experience
• Certifications in Power BI, Excel, Lean Six Sigma, or related fields
• Hold a valid USA visa
