What will I be doing?

Lead the localisation efforts for our market interaction product, responsible for how the Kaluza platform communicates with “the market”, i.e. meter points and market participants (if relevant through the local Market Orchestrator), to fulfil key customer journeys, ensuring it meets the specific regulatory and market requirements of diverse European countries.

Deep dive into European energy market regulations for designated countries, translating complex compliance needs into detailed specifications for the market interaction product.

Collaborate intensely with clients and in-country experts to understand their unique needs and requirements.

Define and manage detailed product requirements for features related to country-specific needs on interactions with the market and local meter data management (connectivity with the market, orchestration of market messages to power customer journeys, meter data modelling, exception requirements, customer service agent tooling, regulatory reporting…)

Work closely with engineering, UX, and QA teams to ensure the successful implementation and testing of localised market interaction functionalities

Act as the go-to expert for global teams on specific European market nuances related to market interaction, customer journeys, and meter data management

Continuously monitor changes in European energy legislation and market practices, proactively adapting the product roadmap to maintain compliance and competitiveness.

Ideally you’ll have/be

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager with a strong track record of successfully localising complex software products for international markets at scale
  • Solid understanding of key energy retail customer journeys, for both backend and frontend products, including interactions with the local market, within a European context
  • Direct experience with specific European energy markets, understanding their unique regulatory frameworks and requirements
  • Exceptional ability to extract client requirements and translate them along with abstract regulatory text into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams.

Experience working with / shaping complex data models

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, operations, client success) to deliver localised solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and market complexities to various stakeholders, including clients.

What will set you apart

  • Deep, hands-on experience with the French or Belgian energy retail markets, particularly concerning market interactions and customer journeys
  • Proficiency in French language
  • Working knowledge of energy operations or regulatory environment within a European energy retailer or other relevant energy market participants
  • Strong skills in client engagement, creating strong trusting relationships with senior client stakeholders
