We are looking for a Product Manager to be hired in our Business Unit Transmission. We provide state-of-the-art solutions for High Voltage Underground and Submarine Power and Telecom cable links in some of the world’s most challenging environments.

You role

  • Ensure the management of a cohesive Submarine Telecom Solutions Portfolio (repeated and repeaterless) in line with the Company growth objectives.
  • Define & drive the Submarine Telecom Solutions offerings, their development & commercialization.
  • Identify and develop technical and commercial opportunities during the pre-ITT stages
  • Country of Operation (Subject to change as per the business needs): ITALY
  • Country of Responsibility: Worldwide
  • Customer profile: Telecom Operators, Project Developers, Turnkey Suppliers, Power Telecom

You will be in charge of:

  • Increase the presence in front of the Clients to deepen the understanding of requirements, present the Submarine Telecom Solutions and influence their specification.
  • Gather Market Data, perform Competitive Analysis and Assess and benchmark competition
  • You will maintain professional and technical knowledge, assisting in Industry Standards activities and participating in Industry related events
  • Guide internal Stakeholders on expectations and support in identifying Submarine Telecom Investments aligned to the Company strategy
  • Provide guidance & product information to Sales Managers and convey relevant market data & competitive analysis to the Team
  • Liaise with relevant Functions to translate Customer requirements into viable and value-added proposals
  • Support Sales with bid strategy definition
  • Support bid team with technical solution definition
  • Review prepared costs of proposals and advise market pricing levels
  • Attend Tender Review Meetings, TPA meetings and internal Kick of Meetings if requested
  • Consolidate all Submarine Telecom related issues across all streams driving internal development and coordination across the functions
  • Oversee entire Project life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Evaluate performance & gaps in the Submarine Telecom Portfolio
  • Create and maintain an Submarine Telecom Roadmap
  • Specify requirements for current & future Products and Services

Travel Requirements: worldwide frequent travels may be required.

Who are we looking for?

  • A degree in technical engineering
  • Deep technical knowledge of the Submarine Telecom Products and Installation Activities
  • Proven experience in engineering/technical roles in the Submarine Telecom Industry
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Knowledge of the Submarine Telecom business/market
  • Technical and Commercial presentation skills
  • Flexibility and capability to manage changes during the work
  • Good relationship approach
  • Team working capability
  • Problem solving and target oriented
  • Pragmatism. Capability to set and to handle pragmatically the priorities
  • Capacity to understand and conceptualizes complexity into concise frameworks
  • Wish to quickly learn and get involved
  • IT skills: MS office, Project planning tools, Presentation PPT expertise
