Our team is made up of people who understand our business inside and out, and experts from different fields who challenge us to do things differently.
Our engineering apprenticeship is a four-year program combining theory training with our RTO partners, in-house training courses, and practical On-the-job training in our Engineering businesses. You’ll rotate through relevant business areas applicable to the relevant trade, receiving hands-on training on Qantas Group and customer aircraft.

Depending on your chosen trade, typically your role will include;
Avionics Apprentice - maintains, inspects and undertakes fault diagnostics of electrical, instrument and radio systems and accessories on the aircraft. These include power generation and distribution systems, ignition and engine monitoring systems, autopilot and integrated flight systems, environmental control systems, radar and communication systems and in-flight entertainment
Mechanical Apprentice - maintains, inspects and undertakes fault diagnosis of airframe, engine systems and mechanical components and accessories on aircraft. These include undercarriage, wheels and brakes, pressurisation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, engine control systems and pressurisation and environmental control systems.
