Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with regional teams to ensure seamless execution of annual review cycles while managing critical elements of compensation administration. You will also contribute significantly to employee wellness initiatives, providing thoughtful support that enhances workplace satisfaction. By engaging with both internal stakeholders and external partners, you will help maintain robust processes around mobility cases and policy implementation. Your ability to interpret data, apply regulatory knowledge, and communicate clearly will be essential as you address queries from employees and business units alike. This role offers you the chance to make meaningful contributions within a team-oriented setting where your input is valued at every stage.

  • Collaborate with the Regional Performance and Rewards Team as well as the HR Business Partner Team to facilitate the Annual Review Process, ensuring all activities are executed efficiently and accurately.
  • Oversee specific aspects of compensation and benefit administration such as payroll verification, management of rental reimbursement schemes, and handling personnel expenses with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Participate actively in annual performance and rewards exercises including salary reviews, bonus assessments, deferred compensation vesting activities, and comprehensive compensation surveys.
  • Coordinate closely with the Regional Mobility Team and external vendors to provide effective support for employee mobility cases across different locations.
  • Assist in organising and delivering employee wellness programmes that foster a positive workplace environment and enhance overall staff wellbeing.
  • Offer advisory support to employees by addressing their general queries related to compensation and benefits policies in a considerate manner.
  • Provide guidance to business units regarding personnel expense matters, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications.
  • Support various HR projects such as policy reviews that are implemented locally or regionally, contributing valuable insights based on best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations by keeping abreast of industry standards in compensation management within the financial services sector.
  • Utilise technology platforms effectively to streamline HR processes and drive operational efficiency throughout all assigned responsibilities.

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Vice President, Performance and Rewards (6 Months Fixed Term Contract), your background should reflect hands-on experience managing complex compensation programmes within sizeable organisations—ideally within financial services or similarly regulated industries. Your technical expertise spans everything from base pay analysis through advanced benchmarking techniques using current market data. You bring a nuanced understanding of regulatory requirements affecting pay practices alongside practical skills in policy interpretation. Your approach is grounded in empathy; you respond thoughtfully to queries from colleagues at all levels while fostering trust through transparent communication. Proficiency with technology tools like Excel ensures you can analyse trends efficiently while supporting process improvements across HR functions. Above all else, your commitment to collaboration means you thrive when working together towards shared goals—always acting with integrity and striving for continuous improvement.

  • A degree or equivalent practical experience is highly desirable for this position.
  • Demonstrated experience executing compensation programmes within large organisations is essential for success in this role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of base pay structures, total compensation frameworks, job evaluation methodologies, market data analysis techniques, and relevant compensation regulations is required.
  • Proven client management skills are necessary for effective stakeholder engagement across multiple teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in gathering market intelligence related to compensation trends as well as interpreting labour market data for benchmarking purposes is expected.
  • In-depth knowledge of various compensation philosophies (such as lead-lag strategies), plan types (including merit increases, bonuses), and pay practices (like banding or pay equity) is important.
  • Experience implementing metrics such as compa-ratio along with basic accounting or financial acumen will be beneficial for tracking outcomes.
  • High-level competence using MS Office applications—particularly Excel—and PowerPoint is required; familiarity with Workday would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication abilities combined with strong analytical thinking skills enable you to identify solutions collaboratively while maintaining integrity throughout all interactions.
