  • We are looking for you who can position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in the Aarhus market. You see the connection between an exciting and inspiring customer journey, maximizing sales and long-term profitability. You understand the importance of constantly updating your team’s knowledge around people’s life at home, trends in the market and competence within home furnishing.
  • You are a natural and experienced leader, and you understand that good, solid leadership is the key to constantly developing your team and the business. You have good experience when it comes to setting clear goals and know how to get the team to work towards common goals.
  • You understand the importance of good corporation and you are a good communicator who is always clear in your expectations. Working in a structured way and delegating tasks and responsibility is natural for you.
  • You acknowledge and use people's experience and competencies and always secure development within your team. You use your abilities to maximize the impact of our store to ensure that visitors are converted into satisfied customers. It is preferred that you have solid knowledge of home furnishing and a strong visual eye.
  • We further prefer that you have:
  • A commercial mindset and experience within retail
  • Strong communication skills
  • A structured approach to your work
  • Experience in driving projects independently
  • A genuine interest in people and in life at home

  • As Interior Design Manager, your core responsibility will be to lead and guide the team and create an open and confident atmosphere.
  • You will have daily follow-ups on daily tasks. You and the team will strive to strengthen the IKEA Aarhus store’s positioning by combining the global strategies with national and local priorities and, as such, secure the relevance, attractiveness, and competitiveness of the IKEA brand in our market.
  • More specifically, your main responsibilities will be:
  • Optimizing the use of the store media by developing and implementing range presentation solutions that strengthen the connection between our product range and people’s life and needs at home
  • Securing extensive knowledge of the store areas and clarifying each area’s purpose to the customer journey
  • Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity and creating a strong visual impact in all commercial and sales support areas.
  • Constantly being updated on market trends and people’s life at home

  • You will be on an individual, flexible contract for 37 hours per week.
  • There will be evening and weekend work
  • The role will be seated in our Aarhus Store
  • Salary within IKEA’s salary policy based on your competencies and including pension.
