OCONUS Systems Network Engineer-Baghdad (Job Number:434184)
SAIC is currently seeking an OCONUS Systems/Network Engineer to support its Force Protection operations in SW Asia.
The candidate will provide systems engineering, networking and cybersecurity support to Chemical and Biological (Chem-Bio) Programs and capabilities that will be fielded and sustained OCONUS. Support the network and software management of chem-bio systems. Familiarity with Joint Warning and Reporting Network (JWARN), the Bio Surveillance Portal (BSP), the Joint Effects Model (JEM), and the CBRN Information Systems (IS) preferred. Provide network architecture, software, and information assurance/cyber security support of the Chem-Bio systems.
Configuring and testing software installations, troubleshooting and verification of connectivity across platforms is required. Support configuration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of wired and wireless networks that provide sensor connectivity to command posts and command post software. Provide analysis and feedback on technology under consideration for deployment. Provide technical expertise in the management of information-related risks in enterprise architectures and testing and evaluation. Assist with information assurance certification and accreditation.
Assist in applying appropriate safeguards to ensure that fielded information systems and networks are defended to maintain integrity, availability, authentication, confidentiality, and non- repudiation. Provide support for developmental testing, user demonstrations, user feedback events, operational assessments, and operational testing events. Requires in-depth customer interaction with military units on the ground during site visits. Must possess on the spot personal decision making skills.
The candidate will also be required to assist with the movement of repair parts from storage sites to the FOB. Must meet DoD Height/Weight standards. Must currently possess a SECRET security clearance. Must satisfactorily complete CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements, including medical and dental requirements prior to deployment. Must be able to lift 97 pounds occasionally and 73 pounds frequently. Must be willing to live and work in austere, hostile environment for extended periods of time
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is desired. 6 years equivalent experience is accepted in lieu of degree.
Must possess custom software installation and troubleshooting skills. Must have 6 years of direct experience in system administration and networking with Microsoft and Cisco equipment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Support of mission support command networks and CBRN sensor and systems. JWARN and JEM support and training. Experience with cross-domain solution (CDS) equipment configuration and installation.
