About the Role:
The Early Childhood Education Field Site Placement Coordinator & Mentor Trainer plays a key role in supporting high-quality field experiences for students pursuing credentials in early childhood education. This position serves as a liaison between the college, community-based early childhood programs, and supervising teachers to ensure meaningful practicum and field placements aligned with course outcomes and professional standards. The coordinator will also provide training and support for both students and site supervisors, enhancing the mentoring experience and strengthening partnerships with early learning providers.
This position supports the program’s compliance with NAEYC Higher Education Accreditation Standards and grant expectations, while advancing equity and excellence in workforce preparation for early childhood educators.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Working Conditions:
This position involves working with community partners, establishing new partners, working directly with cooperative/supervising teachers at field placement sites, and working with students. Local travel to field placement sites will be required. A portion of work can be remote. This is a grant funded part-time for the 12-month academic year and will potentially end December 2027.
