What you'll do...
Responsible for leading Battery Monitoring System Controller deliverables by supplier, working together with Purchasing/STA, Manufacturing, system team, other component teams, and Vehicle team.
Responsible for leading design and release of Battery Monitoring System Controller hardware and software through WERS.
Manage quality foundation documents including DFMEA, DVP&R, SCCAF, Control Plan, and Supplier Schedule A.
Support GPDS unit battery pack builds, coordinating timing and delivery requirements with supplier(s).
Support battery unit mechanical design team for ideas and feasibility of attachment features and package size of Battery Monitoring System Controller.
Responsible for production warranty investigation, Value Optimization and battery plant returns/failures with suppliers to drive containment and elimination of early warranty factor
You'll have...
BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering)
3+ years of Product Development experience in the automotive industry
Practical knowledge including design, sizing, and packaging of electrical control unit
Experience in DVP&R related to the Design & Release Engineering of electro-mechanical components (modules, sensors, or electronic controls)
Even better, you may have...
Experience with electric vehicles either at the system or component level
Experience with Ford DET, Ford IDS, Vector CANalyzer/CANape/CANoe
Prior Ford Design and Release experience preferred. Knowledge of the Ford WERS/AIMS systems preferred
Proactive, self-motivated, and attention to detail
Strong teamwork, organizational, oral communication, and written communication skills
Strong leadership skills, able to effectively interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders
