The Market Area Finance Personal Customers team delivers business insights, which are essential for enhancing the performance management framework specifically for Personal Customers across Denmark, Finland, and Sweden. As part of the CFO Area, the team is committed to finding the optimal solutions for the business, enhance value creation and ultimately delivering quality customer experiences both internally and externally.

The Role

The role involves detailed financial analysis and forecasting, supporting strategic initiatives, and maintaining ongoing dialogue with business units and top management in Private Banking & Investments. By leveraging financial and business expertise, the Business Analyst role contributes to informed decision-making processes that align with Danske Bank's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to provide insights into the business performance of Personal Customers.
  • Develop and maintain coherent reporting frameworks that link to customer profitability, rolling forecasts, and financial targets.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on performance-related topics, in collaboration with colleagues across the regions and independently.
  • Take an outside-in perspective to drive financial performance in comparison to industry peers.
  • Facilitate dialogue and cooperation across business units and engage with key stakeholders to enhance decision-making processes focused on value creation.
  • Present findings to senior and top management, affecting how the business unit is operated and maintained as a top-tier performer in Northern Europe.
  • Play a significant role in building relationships with stakeholders, providing a platform for career progression within Danske Bank.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Industry experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to enhancing financial and strategic reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively engaging all organisational levels.
  • Proficiency or interest in stakeholder management and process optimisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver high-quality results under deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint, with a willingness to learn SQL or similar languages.
  • A structured, motivated, and proactive individual committed to making a difference.
