CTG is seeking to fill a Sr Tableau Architect & Developer opening in Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex Tableau dashboards, extracts and backend data sourcing
  • Experience with complex Tableau concepts required in meeting difficult client requirements and building advanced visualizations (LoD, Table Calculations, drill down capabilities etc.)
  • Utilize hands-on Tableau development experience, including parameter usage with top N records, business date, sheet swapping, and more
  • Leverage advanced SQL skills for efficient data manipulation and extraction, particularly with complex queries & and window functions in SQL
  • Present reports with strong layout and presentation skills
  • Handle various file formats, including CSV, XML, HTML, XLSX, and PDF
  • Optimize and enhance the performance of Tableau workbooks, dashboards, and data sources. Identify and rectify performance.
    • Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks
    • Enhancing workbook and dashboard performance
    • Improving data source and query performance
  • Hands-on experience in migrating Tableau content across environments
  • Embed and integrate dashboards in existing web apps
  • Strong report layout and presentation skills
  • Experience handling and producing different file formats: CSV, XML, HTML, XLSX and PDF among others

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Tableau Design & Development
  • In-depth understanding of Tableau's internal architecture and security frameworks
  • Mastery of SQL, including expertise in crafting highly efficient and optimized SQL queries, especially with complex concepts and expertise in data warehousing principles
  • Extensive experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting in Tableau Desktop and Server
  • Tableau certifications

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80.00/hour to $100.00/hour hourly. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
