Role and Responsibilities

The Samsung Electronics America is seeking a manager to join its dynamic Public Relations team to support the strategy and execution for brand and product programs on behalf of its U.S. Home Entertainment business. In addition to working with a top global brand, this position provides a unique opportunity to develop and execute high impact product launches along with cutting-edge, creative PR campaigns that drive awareness for Samsung services and programs among tech and lifestyle media and beyond.

This role will support PR on behalf of Home Entertainment – which includes the industry-leading portfolio of Samsung TVs, projectors, audio and memory innovations. The role is responsible for increasing awareness for all product launches, managing strategic product review programs, and driving in-culture coverage and relevant conversation beyond product launch to support purchase conversion.

The Manager reports to and will work closely with the Senior Manager of PR, and will collaborate frequently with the larger PR and Consumer Insights teams, PR agencies and Samsung integrated marketing teams. Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive PR activities for Samsung’s Home Entertainment efforts; responsible for the development and execution of successful product launches and product reviews that position Samsung TVs, projectors, audio and memory innovations as industry leaders in performance, design and consumer-led innovation
  • Partner with Sr. Manager, and Sr. Director of PR and Integrated Marketing to co-develop and drive large-scale creative, dynamic campaigns with multi-faceted touchpoints (earned, paid, owned) that reach and excite consumer targets
  • Understand business and communications challenges and develop smart, insights-driven strategies that garner executive stakeholder support
  • Interface with senior leaders and peers to inform strategic plans and obtain alignment
  • Successfully navigate a matrixed organization of multiple businesses and product categories
  • Deliver product launch and campaign reporting and analysis to assess ROI, as well as identify actionable learnings to improve future campaigns
  • Support management of PR agency partners – from development of creative briefs and project management to RFPs, contracts and billings

Skills and Qualifications

Qualification Requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree and at least 6+ years of relatable consumer Public Relations experience with demonstrated success in product media relations where using a proactive approach to the work zone, trend spotting, and taking ownership created results
  • Passion for and/or experience in consumer electronics, technology in general, or an affinity for technical gaming a plus
  • Previous experience working in gaming or tech industry preferred
  • Creative, out-of-the box and strategic thinker who can turn business objectives into practical actions, lead complex projects, and work effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Superior level of project management, analysis and presentation skills, including the ability to develop ROI-driven plans with clear objectives and measurement approaches
  • Familiarity with agency management, including development of briefs, reporting, contracts, and budget management
  • Demonstrated success in establishing effective working relationships with executives and partners, which will include global counterparts
  • Ability to thrive in a high pace environment, and a rich and diverse culture where adaptability is important
  • High energy, works with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solver with positive attitude & passion for delivering results despite challenges
  • The ability to report in to the office Monday through Thursday weekly (firm)
  • Up to 25% travel required
