Global Indirect Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement to lead our Global Indirect Procurement strategy. This role is responsible for managing the procurement of all indirect goods and services, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a global environment. This position will be remote with some regular travel to Dayco regional locations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Design and execute global procurement strategies for indirect categories, including IT, marketing, professional services, facilities, and travel.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and service. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessary.
  • Cost Optimization: Drive cost-saving initiatives and negotiate contracts to achieve the best possible terms for the company.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and ensure alignment with procurement strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and best practices. Use this information to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing indirect procurement on a global scale.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel internationally, as required.
