This is a contract position with expected weekly hours of 40.

Position Overview

We are seeking a IT Manager to join our team and provide comprehensive support for our internal IT operations. Reporting to the Information Security and Mobile Device Management (MDM) Team, the IT Manager will address IT Service Desk challenges and ensure the seamless operation of critical IT systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure to support our growing business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain IT Infrastructure: Oversee and manage essential IT systems, including device management, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, telephone configurations, software, and hardware.
  • Project Management: Take ownership of IT projects and solutions, aligning them with broader business initiatives to ensure successful implementation and integration.
  • Vendor Management: Responsible for evaluating and working with third-party vendors of critical IT support and service providers to ensure a high-level of support and management of IT infrastructure.
  • Risk Review and Management: Identification and Management of IT risks and cultivate a strong working relationship with the Information Security Team and other internal stakeholders
  • Compliance: Own and supervise internal IT controls, such as access management, software maintenance and security patches, and other policies and procedures
  • Systems Administration: Handle business-critical IT tasks, including systems administration, to ensure reliability, security, and performance of IT operations.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software to recommend and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Track and maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets to ensure compliance and optimize resource utilization.

Required Skills and Technologies

  • Proficiency in managing Office 365 Suite and its administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory for user and group management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange for email system administration.
  • Expertise in managing Windows Servers and Desktops.
  • Familiarity with macOS and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT Service Desk challenges efficiently.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in leading IT projects and delivering solutions on time and within scope.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report to the Information Security and MDM Team.
  • Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management or systems administration
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, ITIL)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing IT assets and projects.
