Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Learning Technology for TAG University is a proven leader who will partner closely with all L&D Teams, and key business partners including leaders across all TAG Brands to create and execute support for all learning programming. The Sr. Manager is a key contributor to delivering world class learning experiences. This role will bring to life our values and is a role model of our cultural pillars each day through everything they do.
The Senior Manager leads our team of Learning Technology Administrators and manages the strategic deployment of them across all L&D programming within our TAG University in-person and virtual campuses. In addition, they provide direction, guidance and feedback to the team to ensure we optimize their performance and operate with high efficiency. This role will partner closely with the leaders in L&D and other key stakeholders to research, identify, validate, test, implement, integrate and sustain a variety of learning. This position is a key contributor in supporting the execution of the TAG L&D strategy as well as our current priorities and projects as needed.
This person is a self-starter and can execute under minimal supervision. They must be exceptionally well organized, have strong problem solving and execution skills and operate with a customer service mindset. They should be a strong communicator and able to build and maintain a strong network of partnerships. They must be innovative, able to seek new ways of doing things, open to new ways of thinking, and demonstrate agility and professional presence in unfamiliar situations. This role will report to the Director, Learning Technology.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of the learning technology strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational learning needs and emerging industry trends.
- Oversee the daily operations, administration, and optimization of learning technologies, including all TAG U primary learning platforms, ensuring reliability and functionality.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate learning technology processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and the learner experience.
- Leverage data from learning platforms to assess effectiveness, optimize content delivery, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with L&D teams, IT, HR, and business leaders to support the integration of learning technologies into broader talent and development initiatives.
- Act as a senior escalation point for learning technology issues, guiding resolution efforts and managing stakeholder relationships as needed.
- Lead testing and implementation of learning platform new features, system updates, and integrations to ensure seamless learning experiences.
- Ensure learning technologies adhere to organizational policies, data security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Manage and mentor a team of learning technology administrators, fostering a culture of customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Regularly engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align learning technology efforts with business needs and gain buy-in for initiatives.
- This role serves as the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring that learning platforms effectively support business growth and employee development.
- Be ready to “roll up your sleeves” and perform technology execution tasks when needed.
- Partner with others to solve business problems and as a member of the Learning and Development extended leadership team contribute expertise and support beyond learning technology as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Education Level: Bachelor’s degree required
- A minimum of 5+ years of relevant learning technology experience in a fast-paced organization with a distributed workforce.
- A minimum of 3+ years leading a team of L&D professionals.
- Proven experience and expertise with LXP, LMS, LRS, Cornerstone OnDemand LMS, Workday, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Zoom, Teams, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to translate development needs into technical requirements and test against those requirements.
- Strong ability to create process, organizational systems and operating procedures.
- Exceptional project management skills and proven experience planning large-scale global programs for technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of digital learning, blended learning strategies, and understanding of design and delivery methods.
- Advanced problem solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels in the organization and extremely flexibility to be proactive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
- Proven experience managing technology vendors.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000 with a 15% bonus
