CTG is seeking to fill a Project Controls Professional II opening for our client in Richland, WA.

Location: Richland, WA

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to develop project scopes, implementation schedules (Level 1–5), and cost projections using Primavera P6.
  • Integrate cost estimates with schedules to produce logic-tied, resource-loaded cost flow projections.
  • Track, monitor, and report project scope, schedule, and cost changes to ensure alignment with baseline expectations.
  • Perform critical path analysis, variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions for schedule/cost deviations.
  • Support the development of accurate Estimate to Completion (ETC) forecasts in partnership with Project Managers.
  • Evaluate real-time cost/schedule performance and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Manage configuration control of project data, perform consistency reviews, and implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
  • Attend and contribute to challenge/approval meetings, team meetings, and regular project review sessions.
  • Comply with all organizational processes and procedures.

Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and data-checking abilities.
  • Well-developed organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to groups.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to handle complex data.
  • Ability to establish priorities and understand interdependencies between project activities.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in project controls/project management in an industrial setting with a bachelor’s degree; OR
  • 7 years of relevant experience with an AA degree; OR
  • 9 years of relevant experience with a High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience supporting large, complex projects with budgets of $15M or more.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management and cost/schedule control practices.
  • Experience in the utility industry and understanding of nuclear plant operations (BWR preferred).
  • Background in process improvement and GAAP knowledge is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
  • Formal training in Primavera P6 or other project management systems is required.
  • Desired certifications: PMP, CAPM, PBA, SP, or RMP from PMI.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Remote work may be available after 3 to 6 months based on individual training, trust, merit, and performance—only if it works for the team. Approximate remote work: 25%.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
