Overview:

You will be responsible for conducting basic research, data mining, data governance, reporting and interpretation of company performance metrics. Additional job responsibilities include direct support to the senior account executive related to team performance management, operations strategy, and communications.

This job is part of the Business Intelligence team within the Data & Analytics CoE. They are responsible for reviewing data that supports improving effectiveness and predicting outcomes to develop business intelligence.

Essential Functions:

  • Generate reports using data from multiple sources to assist in creating a complete evaluation, improvement, or recommendation.
  • Review the accuracy of information provided and respond to requests from management and vendors.
  • Understand and work with scenario planning tools and models. Investigate current trends in general business conditions.
  • Identify performance and process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with the coordination involving personnel from other departments and information technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations.
  • Manage the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics.
  • Has broad business knowledge for assigned business teams (i.e. freight, supply chain, agri business, accounting)
  • Adapts plans within the department
  • Recommends solutions/best practices based upon understanding of business units to help refine & improve what is being requested by the Business
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (Measurable outcomes that the position contributes to):
  • Participates in small to medium projects of moderate complexity; Contributes to process improvements. 
  • As part of an Agile team, responsible for the execution of main activities to obtain important results through collaboration with others on the Agile team.
  • Performs a variety of complex tasks; Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes. 
  • Problems may require analysis to understand. 
  • Solves difficult, non-routine problems but are not complex
  • Requires taking a new perspective on existing solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 - 5 years of position related experience, or equivalent combo of education and experience level. 
  • Preferred experience in Agri business or related business area
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems. 
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. 
  • Must have solid understanding of Agile methodologies & collaborate within an Scrum / Agile team
  • Basic knowledge of analytics or relational database system, such as Oracle, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL
  • Possess strong technical skills in BI technologies such as Tableau, Looker, and PowerBI; need ablility to learn these skills quickly
