Job Description
The Senior Learning and Development Manager of Supply Chain is responsible for improving the productivity of our Main Distribution Center and supply chain associates through the creation and deployment of business improvement, functional training and leadership development programs. . The Sr. Learning and Development Manager assesses assigned DC as well as partnering on supply chain wide developmental needs to improve leadership and associate capability to better impact business performance. Under the general supervision of the Director Learning and Development, the Sr Learning and Development Manager provides Main Distribution Center leadership to determine key indicators of high performance for any functional area within the distribution center, track and develop learning curves for that performance and design interventions to reach maximum business results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams (L&D, HR, Operations, and Operational Excellence) to assess needs, develop training solutions, and implement learning strategies.
- Oversee functional training, ensuring performance coaches meet standards and deliver effective training and certification.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term learning strategies to enhance engagement, productivity, and leadership capabilities.
- Coach senior leaders on key leadership behaviors and competencies; Identify leadership opportunities for the site leadership teams.
- Collaborate with HR and site management to align hiring, onboarding, and learning initiatives with business needs.
- Drive excellence in training methodologies, project planning, and delivery while maintaining consistency across sites.
- Identify and address performance barriers, recommend improvements, and share best practices across the organization.
- Develop and certify Performance Coaches through a "train the trainer" program.
- Create engaging, interactive learning programs using technology and innovative methods.
- Track and analyze training participation, effectiveness, and performance metrics to inform improvements.
- Conduct follow-up evaluations to measure program impact and report insights to senior leadership.
- Manage multiple business projects, leadership development initiatives, compliance, and equipment training programs.
- Manage the Equipment Training programs and all required compliance training.

Education and Experience
Education Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in HR, Communications, Business, or Learning and Development
Years of Experience
- Over 9 years of experience in Learning and Development, with demonstrated success in leadership roles leading a team and collaborating across functions in a complex organization.
Skills
- Learning or Human Resources certifications preferred from ATD or SHRM.
- Deep understanding of performance consulting, coaching, evaluation, and curriculum development methodologies.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in leading the training function with direct reports.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees.
- Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. Be self-directed and motivated.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $117,300 – $176,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
