Technical Project Management - Sr Advisor I

What does a successful Technical Project Manager do at Fiserv?

You will be responsible for bridging our technology and product leaders through communication and collaboration. You will guide the team by driving projects ranging from simple to complex, ensuring high-priority projects are delivered successfully. You are accountable for governing and improving the compliance of your portfolio to Fiserv standards and will lead cross-functional communication in support of project completion.

What you will do:

• Serve as the First Line of Defense Controls Lead for your area, working with Risk Office, Audit, and technical teams to ensure compliance and standards are met.
• Regularly review the capabilities of applications under your responsibility for compliance with Fiserv policies and standards by assessing compliance gaps and working closely with technical teams to plan, track, and address gaps proactively.
• Govern and report on the status and progress of any gap remediation efforts
• Providing executive-level management reporting on project status, including proactive transparent status updates and escalations as needed.
• Work closely with risk and assessment source owners and application owners to manage issues and action plans per firm standards by
• Ensure adherence to project methodologies, project delivery processes, and implementation of management processes.
• Manage and drive project schedules, risk and issue management, and scope change management.

What you will need to have:

• 2+ years of risk management knowledge to assess and control an organization’s exposure.
• 5+ years of experience in technology portfolio and project management, including major application development projects with ability to manage multiple projects and assignments.
• 2+ years of experience in meeting management skills and ability to plan, execute, and follow up on business meetings effectively that includes demonstrated ability to identify project interdependencies and synergies, make contingency plans, and develop action plans, be organizational savvy to navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels.
• 2+ years of organizational skills to embrace change, adapt to new situations, and thrive in a fast-paced environment by having critical thinking skills to provide options and recommendations for resolving issues and mitigating risks.
• 2+ years of collaboration skills to actively participate in group discussions for planning and problem resolution that include problem-solving skills to quickly identify, analyze, and execute effective resolution strategies.
• 2+ years of scope management skills to understand project scope, manage changes, and apply critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• 2+ years of leadership skills to influence others, drive effective change, and provide clear direction to team members.
• Fiserv systems experience.

What would be great to have:

• Experience with software development and major technologies such as Java and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of various project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban.
• Experience with leading migration projects and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Proficiency with project management tools and practices, including stakeholder management, resource management, and change management.
• Knowledge of key industry risk and control frameworks such as COBIT, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, ITIL, and PCI DSS.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; PMP and/or CSM certification preferred.

Salary Range

$110,700.00 - $189,700.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
