The Pillars of Prospect Park (POPP) is a nationally recognized, award-winning senior care & living community offering a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative and high-performing environment. Conveniently located near the light rail transit station and metro bus line, POPP is close to the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN.

We are looking for a Culinary Assistant to join our team! This position is responsible for dining room and to-go meal service for senior age residents.

This nutrition services schedule includes;

• 16 hours per two weeks ; part-time
• Every Saturday and Sunday 4pm-7pm

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.

Required:

• less than 1 year experience

Preferred:

• High School Diploma
• 1 year experience

Qualifications

Compensation: $17.77-$25.66 Hourly
