Collins Aerospace is looking to hire an experienced Project Engineer to support RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) and CORE operating systems. This role combines project engineering with process improvement, focusing on the maturity progression and tailored implementation of RLPM and CORE. Responsibilities include partnering with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives, facilitating meetings, tracking progress, supporting management reviews, developing standard documentation, and leveraging tools to maintain dashboards and performance metrics.
This position is based at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do:
- Lead the coordination and execution of RLPM and CORE initiatives across engineering programs, ensuring integration with project milestones and business objectives.
- Conduct process maturity assessments and help shape improvement strategies aligned with the CORE operating system.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management) to tailor and implement RLPM and CORE frameworks effectively.
- Facilitate project planning, tracking, and reporting, ensuring adherence to lifecycle gates and operational improvement priorities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics to provide transparency on progress, compliance, and continuous improvement outcomes.
- Prepare and present updates to leadership, including status reports, risk identification, and data-driven recommendations.
- Drive standardization of engineering project documentation, including templates, workflows, and best practices aligned with internal operating systems.
- Lead and support meetings, workshops, and process reviews to foster collaboration and shared ownership of results.
- Serve as a technical liaison to enterprise RLPM and CORE teams, providing feedback and contributing to ongoing development and alignment of operating system tools.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence, acting as a coach and resource for teams navigating lifecycle and maturity model expectations.

Qualifications YOU must have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience in managing programs or parts of a program including successfully managing small groups of engineers under technical guidance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Demonstrated experience working in project engineering or program execution within complex, cross-functional environments.
- Experience product lifecycle management frameworks and structured continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with RLPM and CORE operating systems or similar program lifecycle and maturity models.
- Proficiency in dashboarding, data visualization, and project tracking tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, MS Project, Jira, or similar).
- Experience with tailoring enterprise frameworks (like CORE) to specific business unit needs.
- Background in facilitating assessments, workshops, or training sessions focused on process maturity or operational excellence.
- Familiarity with RTX-specific program systems and standards is a strong plus.
- CORE Champion / Professional or Six Sigma Black Belt
