Job Summary
The ABL Portfolio Manager is responsible for the ongoing credit and relationship management of a portfolio of asset-based lending relationships. This role partners with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and Operational teams to assess risk, monitor collateral performance, and ensure compliance with loan agreements. The Portfolio Manager plays a key role in identifying risk trends, structuring amendments or renewals, and providing high-quality service to borrowers.
Pay Range: $117,185 - $155,270 - $193,355
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor an assigned portfolio of ABL loans, ensuring compliance with credit approval terms, financial covenants, borrowing bases, and reporting requirements.
- Analyze borrower financials, collateral trends, borrowing base availability, and operational performance to assess credit risk and recommend appropriate actions.
- Partner with Relationship Managers and Credit Officers to structure and document amendments, renewals, and increases as needed.
- Conduct field exam reviews, appraisal analysis, and coordinate periodic audits with third-party vendors or internal teams.
- Prepare and present internal reporting, including risk ratings, portfolio reviews, and watchlist updates. Participate in portfolio reviews with senior leadership.
- Respond to borrower inquiries, support relationship development, and ensure a high standard of client service. Collaborate with Loan Operations and Treasury Management on loan setup, funding, and collateral management workflows.

- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance, or some other related field.
- Minimum experience required: 4+ Years of experience in commercial lending or credit analysis, with preference for ABL exposure.
- Strong understanding of collateral monitoring, borrowing base certificates, and field exams.
- Excellent credit analysis, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of financial statement analysis.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for internal and client-facing work.
- Formal credit training, preferred.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
- Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.
