How You'll Create Possibilities

Drive the design and development of User Interface (UI) strategies in collaboration with industrial design, engineering, and product management teams. Design user interfaces that span both physical controls and connected experiences of kitchen appliances product lines, including dishwashers, ranges, refrigerators, cooktops, and countertop appliances. Work with software teams to design features for GEA mobile applications and work with engineering teams to develop mechanical product controls. Work with human factors engineering teams to design UI architecture, interaction flow, and functional user interface prototypes. Evolve designs through functional outlines, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and full visual compositions. Identify needs and drive the development of user research while synthesizing discovered needs into viable, experience-enhancing interface opportunities through user scenarios, wireframes, task flows, mockups, and related materials. Perform competitive design research and oversee internal and external resources for completing production artwork and control prototypes.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Industrial Design, Strategic Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, User-Centered Design, Experience Design, or a related field

5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in a related occupation

5 years of experience in industrial design or user interface design;

5 years of experience creating user experience design deliverables, including wireframes, flowcharts, style guides, and prototypes;

5 years of experience designing and fabricating physical interactive prototypes using design tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Sketch) and prototyping tools (Protopie, Zeplin, and HTML); · 5 years of experience with user-centered design processes, techniques, and tools;

5 years of experience with storyboarding, mapping, and wireframing (Sketch or Figma) and time -based media (After Effects); and

5 years of experience designing user-friendly interactive solutions for web sites, applications, or consumer-facing products.

Telecommuting permitted approximately 2 days per month. When not telecommuting, must report/appear into/at 4000 Buechel Bank Road, Louisville, KY 40225.

Approximately up to 10% travel required to conduct marketing research, assess technology trends, or visit suppliers. Employer will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
