About the role
As one of our Team Lead Transaction Management (m/f/d), you play a key role within the transaction leadership team, contributing both strategically and operationally to the successful execution of corporate transactions, ideally from Munich or Freiburg, otherwise also flexibly from within Germany.
What you will do
- Provide disciplinary leadership to a team of Transaction Managers
- Mentor and guide (Senior) Transaction Managers, working students, and interns assigned to your transactions
- Act as a sparring partner for (Senior) Transaction Managers and transaction leads
- Support transaction leads in investor communication and, when required, take the lead in contract negotiations
- Oversee end-to-end transaction processes and provide hands-on support where needed
- Review and ensure the quality of transaction documentation (e.g., information packages, SPAs) and manage transaction timelines
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks or risks within transaction processes
- Identify and leverage synergies between different sales processes
- Ensure alignment and knowledge-sharing across all transaction leads regarding relevant developments in other sales processes
- Take ownership for the successful completion of tasks, including stepping in as a Senior Transaction Manager when resource needs demand it
- Report to the Head of Sales or other relevant senior leadership on both functional and disciplinary matters
- Involve senior leadership (e.g., Head of Sales, Managing Directors) in case of escalations or critical topics
What you’ll need to succeed
- 7+ years of professional experience in corporate transactions within a project developer, investment bank, audit firm, or management consultancy
- Proven experience in independently leading contract negotiations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in international and cross-functional teams
- Sound market knowledge of the energy industry is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to resolve conflicts effectively
- High level of personal responsibility, integrity, and empathy
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think and act strategically
- Strong delegation capabilities with a focus on team development and empowerment
